On the subject of strainers- butting in- i take it you mean the things just before and connected to the pump? Right?

Well just to say i used to get probs sometimes with debris, leaves etc in my tank over time that seemed to effect the varistream. I put an additional in line strainer on and not problems since. It must do something because it does get dirty. I haven't checcked this inline stainer for crackage but if it has the system would run without it.

So are you daying you didnt used to have a strainter on, just before pump to protect it from debris (also know as debris filter)
I just clean my filters every week or 2, at the mo they are cleaned every day because of ice they are taken off as this is a cow when it cracks more so if you forget to turn of tank isolation tap before it cracks from ice expanding.

Slump do you have 2 pumps to controls ? if so do you have a filter on each pump inlet ?

Two varistreams two pumps- and now two 110ah batterys.
I have a filter on each pump inlet, a sort of plastic half dome thing, which is how they came to me built up.But also an inline strainer on the hose as it leaves the tank.

In my case this hose carries on to the heater and then splits after it for the two pumps and reels. I haven't used the second battery yet, and got it because the heater didn't always flame up and my suspicion was low voltage.

This is a new van and i do not have a splitt relay charger set up yet.

Mostly one supplier but not always  ;)

Resin from Scotland, water meter from down the road, pumps from Grimsby, trad from Warminster, a couple of bits from Wales and a few bits from another Cornish supplier.  :)

So where did the strainer come from ?

Balmy here in Wilts. So warm in fact that i've lost half a tank of water out of the back doors 'cos my strainer has cracked.  :

For a moment I thought you were going to say it evaporated with the heat   ;D

I noticed on the other thread you haven't been insulted as often apparently, well just to set your mind at rest someone coined the phrase "the forum hippey", and i have snuck it in a couple of times also.In that sense i suppose you could call me a traditionalist.

Regards the supplier, as a top brown nose he wouldn't dare bitch about postage if he was on here, and assuming a sneaky read every now and again by said supplier could be in the naughty book for even saying the word.
