Thanks guys, a quick whip round & wire transferr would be good. It's mainley 3ft with upto 4ft where it's drifted. What's made it so bad is that it started snowing here 3 weeks ago but with such low temperatures none of it has thawed. So every inch that falls just keeps topping up what's already there. We had another 1ft tuesday night. I'm even worried about the weight of it on my flat roof extension, tried to shovel it off the other day but it's just solid! One of the farm buildings behind us has had it's roof fall in already.

Bloody just the way my luck goes, just starting out and we have the worst winter since 1963. I know a bloke that lives in Gordon(not far from you I think) and I've seen pics from where he is and it looks as rough as here in Hawick. It looks as though it could be another couple of weeks before it starts clearing Yeah, I'm 37 (although I look 23) & I can't remember seeing anything as bad as this, ever.
