hi.i have been going at this game for 2 years now. i have an average round with average prices. im just so curious what i could achieve if i pull my finger out. is £500 a week achievable or am i thinking in a dream world. i currently earn £350 on an average week but my work is spread out and not highly paid averaging at £7 per house. I reckon if was compact and better prices id be on a right role.also thinking if i go wfp id earn more too. oh great site by the way.

say u did 3 house an hour at 7 a house 8 hours a day 5 days a week  50 weeks a year you would earn

3 x 7 = 21 x 8hours = 168 x 5 days = 840 x 50 weeks = 42000  not bad for a 1 man band

mate i couldnt work 8 hours a day. 5 at a push.i prob do 1-2 an hour,depends on traveling and how long i sit in car motivating to get out.anyway yea if all got collected each week and weather wasnt a prob it would prob be fine.ill get there at the end.id be in heaven if was on 42000 a year.

if you were wfp then you would have more energy to do longer hours, not just that but you work quicker so therefore get your hourly wage up, the downside of this though is the intial outlay of a good few thousand to get a full van set up and van, wether you go down the diy route of building your system your poles still cost a good few hundred quid for decent ones, you need decent ones to ensure your arms dont tire

nah im staying with ladders.surely in long run id be worse off getting all that gear to just clean windows.i only do houses not commertial.just out of interest what is avearage hourly rate for wfp then??on ladders for me its between 10 and 14.which sounds a lot but when you work out all collecting and petrol and only 5 hours a day work being done is pretty crap and i struggle.

i dont work 8 hours a day or 5 days a week, i was just trying to show what could be earned, only doing 3 houses an hour on a four week cycle  even only working 3 days a week its 25 grand a year with only 288 custys

depends on how worse off you mean, the deciding point for me was falling from a first floor window when my ladder slipped, luckily i was unhurt but i wouldnt take that risk again if i dont have to, i can work safely and soundly off the floor now without putting myself in any danger, oh and before people start saying, i did have the ladder at the right angle and i wasnt over stretching, it just slipped on the surface.

Id sooner pay out all the money and i know i can recoup it within a year with the extra speed ive got. at least i know i wont fall and break something and be out of work for months/years/ever.

Iearn a good hourly wage, not going to say what as it causes so many arguments on here$ when people start saying about how much they earn :

i aint doing that well, i was just giving examples on what can be achieved, 3 custy an hour is only 21 a day say 60 - 70 a week,  trying to show that you dont need 800 custy to make a good living being a wc

haha 800.id like to see someone clean that by them self.well i just want closer work.i bought my round well got conned.ipayed 7k for 1100 a month and then still he lied as most were just fronts so had to half the house price.prob is its so spread apart.i wish i had the money noto buy a ne round.im thinking of geting it canvased up but dont no ho much that ill cost yet.5 pound a new customer i just read but that sounds low.

get a load of leaflets made, 5k will cost just over 100 and then door knock. cheaper and more reliable than someone doing it for you, plus you meet the customer so you know how they will be with you

there seems to be an attitude on here by a few that unless u got 800 custys running 3 vans all thermo wfp, u aint a proper wc,  and most wont achieve that, as they will stay a 1 man band,

i do love some peoples attitude on here as you say daz, they must of just decided one day they were going to clean windows and every door they knocked at said yes, then someone gave them a van and loads of equipment and then they just blossomed from there, each year as well the customers insiisted on paying them more money oh and if anyone disagrees with their opinion then hell have no fury like a wc scorned

,most wcs can easily clean 15 houses a day yeah average 10 quid a call 150 take off expenses petrol diesel woteva still leaves ,min 120 you jus gota keep ,motivated  i aint got 800 custys nor 3 vans nor do i want 3 vans i,m happy doin what i do cleaning windows
