hi fokes. tell me this and tell me no more,do i or do i not need to draw a contract up with the window cleaner if i am subbing work to him

No you don't.  But you do need a copy of his public liability insurance; just to be sure he's insured!

I would definately get it in writing. That way there is no room for errors or term confusion.

Will not hurt anything; whereas to not have something in writing down the road may come back to haunt you.

I would advise always get it in writing; you can write the terms yourself. It is not complicated at all; and it is free.

I have learned by my mistakes. But do get proof of insurance or a clear statement of your lack of being liable and that he is indeed an independent contractor. Clearly responsible for his own liability insurance.
