If i could get that money for mine i would sell tomorrow

You won't know unless you try ::)

In 1997 I had a round turning over £1500 a week.  I sold it for £30,000.  This guy is asking twice as much as I did, but I ws in a hurry to sell

i agree ian, if you could get it then why not? i would seriously sell my work tomorrow if i could get that amount for it.

i just couldn't see anyone parting with that cash. if there is any, please email me and we can do some business ;)

Put an advert in your local paper - that's what I did and I had loads of replies.  I split the round into three and sold each one as a going concern turning over £500 a week for £10,000

"you are just jealous because you never thought of it but doint worry while im driving around in my new bmw at xmas what you gonna be doing?" For the record lads.....this isn't a reply from the guy today, it's from a bloke that was selling something similar on ebay a while back. There was a posting on here about 6 weeks ago.I had a pop at him too. I've only just seen his reply. It shut me up,lol.

If the guy can get 10k for that fair play to him.
I agree with Steve on selling round if it could sell at the sort of money.

I guess if you don't try you never know..

Would you invest 10 grand of your redundancy pay on a £500 a week job?
I know I would have done. You could pay that much to get through uni, and still have no guarantee of a job.

fair point Dai, but ya gotta ask yourself whether you'd borrow 10 K from the bank and alot more with it??? Not everyone gets redundandency. If it's legit, then great. But odds are this guy is a scammer. That's why ebay was invented, for people like him. Sorry, maybe it's me but i just don't trust them. I see enough people on here wishing they could turn back time, cos they've been screwed.

He might have helped his cause if he said which area of Surrey and presented the ad a bit better.  I assume it's Carshaltonish area after clicking Matt's link.  Let's face it though, how long would it take to canvass a grand a month yourself.  OK, it would take me a fair while because I have a fairly full workload that I need to service.  But if I had little work, I could do that fairly quickly.

Is this what you say to your customers when they offer you a £1.00 for a £50.00
job ?  ;D

I have only been on here for a couple of weeks and it seems to me that many of you hate to get good prices for work and hate people that are good at getting great paying work. Very strange
Dont think I will stay on here much longer

Who hates to get good prices for work?  ::) as for part 2 of that comment...........we're just jealous. Hardly reason to walk out the door Johnny. Stick around mate. Wait til they start posting on Boxing Day when they're all bored stiff and tanked up on snowballs. Then reconsider.  ;D

For 10 grand you could get an excellent round canvassed for you and you would have enough left over for a nice van and wfp gear ;D

I rang this guy two days ago.  He originaly had this work advertised at £700 a month and was selling it for £2695. That was under this advert

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WINDOW-CLEANING-ROUND-FOR-SALE-GENUINE-BUSINESS_W0QQitemZ120488854440QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_B_I_Business_for_Sale_CV?hash=item1c0db203a8

Then I saw this one advertised

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/window-cleaning-round-for-sale_W0QQitemZ110466559312QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_B_I_Business_for_Sale_CV?hash=item19b851ed50

He said he didn't know anything about the second advert but don't you think it's strange - same number, it strikes me as odd that he changed the amounts as well!!!!!!

Please tell me that someone isn't paying 10K for this!?!?!?

You'd like to think not Josh. The poor fella can't even spell butt properly. He only used one "t". Maybe he wants 100,000 for the round but forgot a zero  ::)
