tosh, sorry big cheese now you got ambitions, the website looks simple and well laid out. Couldn't see anything that looked wrong. I like the format.
Thank you! I have tried to make (in accordance with my e-report thingy) each page have a purpose and to keep it simple. I've had a look at a lot of websites, and some of them I find confusing.
I don't mean to knock windowwasher's website, (especially because he designs them), but when I go there I'm confused as to whom the website is aimed at.
Is it for window cleaners? Or is it for people looking for a window cleaner? There's 'buttons' to push everywhere, so the navigation is difficult, and some of the 'buttons' don't work or lead nowhere; which is frustrating and makes you leave. Oh, and there's stuff I trawl my pointer over, because they look like they should be a hyper-link, but they aren't; again I find this slightly annoying. Subconsciously the website is telling me I'm thick.

Maybe it's because I'm a Geordie, but the website is too difficult for my 10 second attention span (and 10 secs is the average time someone spends looking at a website like this) to digest.
So my aim was to have a clear message on each page, keep the pages down to a minimum number, and to keep it simple.
Oh, and a friend of mine is a Part P electrician and he recently showed off to me his latest leaflet. It was shiny, smart looking, but packed with information, and to be honest I couldn't be bothered to read it. All I would want to know is that he's qualified, competant, and not a 'rip off' with his prices. I guess that's something along the lines that our customers want to know.
