How much are they asking for? Maybe if someone else is going to do the delivering it saves you hassle.... No harm in trying these things if the price is right :)

You guys are so contradicting!
In furure, never come on this forum complaining when customers ring you wanting the cheapest price!

If I paid the child next door 5 pence she/he could knock me together 500 pieces of loo roll with my business name on.

Cheap print always means one thing, cheap quality, and trust me, carpet cleaning leaflets always look cheap and nasty. With the exeption of the big players who pay for quality.

Send ou sh** and the type of customer you will attract will also be sh**, they see cheap and for this reason they picture you and your oganisation as cheap. The grubby council man with the estate car is a picture they will have in their mind. Their not bothered, they should be able to get the work done for a fiver.

On the other hand if your sh** lands on a quality middle class doormat, they also picture the same thing, grubby man in an estate car. These people buy quality not price, so guess what, your sh** goes straight in the bin.

Quality does costs you a lot more money, but is the key to long-term profitable return and will pay for itself much more than thinking cheap.

The leaflets from DP are full gloss double sided A5 and look the mutts. They aren't cheap as such, just good value for money..... Which is what I offer my customers ;)!

I got a quote in town for exactly the same leaflet on exactly the same paper, full gloss, and it was almost 3 times the price!

If you think paying more money for exactly the same thing makes a difference, crack on lofty!

I agree with you about the quality, however i got leaflet through other day from chemDry and the quolity was very poor, so is king's maid leaflet is very poor except fancy picture and alot of crap writing which no one wants to read. The thing is i can make a very good quality leaflet but be crap at cleaning carpets and in carpet clening is all about returning customers and if you are crap they will not use you again no matter how fancy your leaflet is.

Didn't someone on here say DP have their leaflets done by PC anyway? The difference is you have to do the formatting and file transfer and make sure you got it right or you end up with 10k worth of waste paper.

to get back to the point, is is a good idea to go on the back of a leaflet from a chip shop?

each of us will have a different answer,  think  about the customers you've had this week, can you imagine them stood in a queue in the chip shop ordering to '2 cod & chips with extra scraps' if the answer is YES then go for it.

not all of us are aim for the top end of the market, some carpet cleaners aim for the poorer section who might send thier kids to the chip shop on bingo night if you are one of these companies they it might be a good idea to share a leaflet.

just to finish I'll admit that the only leaflets we keep come from the local takeaways, we often had a Pizza or indian delivered so have a massive stock of takeaway leaflets behind the biscuit barrel.

if I was offered a shared leaflet at a good price I would seriously consider it

250 gsm card, A6 full colour, gloss both sides, they are far from cheap and tacky, 10,000 for £190 delivered, good value in my book.

I had full colour gloss 350 gsm post card size and thickness 20000 cost £300 with the idea that they would be less likely to be screwed up and thrown in the bin, and i have had that exact feed back from customers they pin it up and keep them had just picture of van which has all the graphics on it and is self explanantory on one side and the minimum text on reverse, its a gamble i know whether to go for lots more of poorer quality or fewer and better quality in better areas i went for the latter, and have found so far that the leaflets definately get me the cleaner carpets in the nice areas and y pages the bedsit and people i dont want to meet let alone clean there carpets, this is only a general rule of thumb though.

We dont put out thousands of leaflets (cheap delivery is the problem round here) but have also found the postcard size to be kept for long periods after the drop.

Does this happen with the lighter A5s as well?

This looks a good shared leaflet idea
http://www.yourlocalleaflet.co.uk/index.html

Less likely to get binned than a leaflet on its own.
Nowhere near me though
