I am definately going to get the slx next week as my first and only pole for the momebnt. What size do I want to do first floor and the occasional second floor loft conversion window. Not the velux flat type mentioned in the thread earlier/

@Mb cleaning, your saying you bought a extra light brush Doesnt the Slx Come with the extra light brush??

Stoppers would be nice like on the older poles that came before them.

But then we couldn't remove sections, which is a huge benefit for us. ;)

Krave, get the longest pole you can afford. If you can afford it buy the 35 foot sl2. You can then just buy new sections that can take it upto 70 ft plus.
It is the only genuine really top class one pole for all work.
If you'd rather slx, then it is easier to remove sections if you need to, cos you can only add one bit to the slx appart from the longest one. I think.
But the sl2 will allow you to accept and seek work on the taller buildings that go for premium rates. You can also do ground floor with the number one section.
The sl2 pole is i think the best moneymaking pole out there.
It is modular but you only 2 sections to clean most houses. Rareley more than 4 section. But you can add 8,9,10 sections or more if you need to.

Sounds like you could do with a 25ft pole. A 22ft could do it all but 25 will give you greater flexability.

Think the sl2 for standard houses would slow you down big time  for larger and commercial work I agree but standard no chance

Why is that ian. Having to carry the extra section or more? If that is the case i know what you mean.
I was using telescopic for 2 1/2 years then have used sl2 on all work for last year. It takes a little while to get used to, but is extremely quick with the way i work.
Like anything it just takes getting used to.
I've found it fractions slower than a telescopic pole. Not big time.
The biggest problem i have is when i use 4 sections on a domestic. I leave a section or 2 behind sometimes. And section 1 could do with being a bit shorter.
But it is the only practical pole that will do all work, out there.
There isn't any other.

that is the reason Mark,

Add staff to that and I would be pulling my hair out, if only me I would still not do it on the smaller work as I know it would take longer during the day even when used to it, as I do not mind going over gates ect. I can extend pole by 5 inches to go over, with mod pole you cant.  I love debate think it is great :)

Yes i know what you're saying. I wouldn't want staff let loose on them either. But krave is looking for a pole and the sl2 is the 1 pole that can allow him to clean everything. There is no other pole out there that can do it. None.
The modular takes some getting used to for us because we've grown with telescopic. Krave has no wfp pole experience and will have no preconceptions. He will take to it quicker than us.
My sl2 has been hammered on everything for last 12 months, 14 months old. Replaced section 2 and gotta get section 1. It is a hard wearing pole. And taken many knocks.
If krave can afford it, sl2 is the 1st pole to get. It opens up everything window cleaning. Domestic and commercial.
It will earn him very quickly the money to get a smaller telescopic for domestic work if he wants.

for a new starter I would not want to recommend cleaning at 60ft when they have not cleaned at 116ft, your right if he want to go for high commercials and over 3s houses, but from what hes saying to me, it is houses he wants to start on, and tele pole would IMO be the best option, if money was not tight I would say get an extel pole for day to day and slx for the higher work as the xtel will get killed quickly

Yes i understand. But that is 2 poles. 1 pole that does everything? SL2.
No need to start at 60 feet. The point is it has that capability.
I sound like a salesman. ;D
I was just mentioning the option. Cos it does all ive said and as long as sections aren't left behind, might be a couple of minutes slower over the day.
I also think the 25 ft slx would be a good pole that will cover him for almost everything domestically.
But one thing won't change. Whichever pole any of us buys, we always wish we'd got a bit bigger. Krave will think the same regardless.
The fact that he is looking at carbon fibre for his everyday pole shows he is well informed. 25 ft covers 95% of my domestic work. 18 ft covers about 85 % of my work.

I will probably still use my 17ft extel for the majority of my houses, I say this now, I'll probably change my mind when my SLX arrives lol
Will the SLX-22 or the SLX-25 be too long for gound floor windows like french doors and conservatory doors?

If you use a plastic angle adaptor + swivel you can easily do everything from your feet to whatever height your pole goes to. ;) Have you ever worked with a swivel adaptor MB?

A little but you'll never work without one once you've tried it! ;) Any window at any angle & still keep your brush square-on to the glass, less moving about for you too. It's like a wagtail for wfp! ;)
