That's unbelievable! Only 10% (roughly) of the carpet cleaners in this country have Truck Mounts. That's 90% of them taking twice as long on every job and being able to do less jobs in a day. Wakey, wakey, boys! (I know, I'm a stirring git, aren't I? No replies required!!) ;D

LordDerek,
It just makes good business sense and I'm a bit of an evangelical when it comes to spreading the word about the benefits of Truck Mounts having reaped the rewards myself for so many years.

Don`t you need to be doing lots of work to have a tru. no use have a 20k machine sitting on the drive. YOUR DRIVE.

You can do a whole lot more work if you had a tru. If whatever machine you have at the moment is sitting idol then you've got a marketing problem.

unusually strong portable, its slang for truckmount.

or it could mean unique selling point. ;)

ugly sister called penny?

either that or he's dyslexic and meant the courier called ups.

Gary,
Unique selling point. It's something you have as a business that is unique to you. A very basic example of that is a Truck Mount against competitors who use portables. You could sell the fact that you do a twelve step cleaning process, or that the carpets are dry before you leave...something that marks you out as different from your competitors, something customers can only get when they come to you, a USP.
