CO I will be having a guy work the round in Leicester.
My girlfriend and I will be working in Essex on that round.
I am thinking (more hoping) that I will get approx. 100 window cleaning customers, and 10-15 patio or driveway jobs and 10-15 gutter jobs from the 25,000. that wouldn't even be 1% return.
i hope you the best of luck .those numbers are realistic i think and u should be able to get a bit more than 2k.100 w.c customers you are looking at £1000-1500
10-15 patios about £1500
10-15 gutters £600-1000
so that's about 3k-4k but, also depends on the area .the competition is tough this days ,and you are quite new in the area but seem that you and your girlfriend are a good team and i think you would do very well

As I will be based in Burnham on Crouch, we will be targetting, South Woodham, Maldon, Southminster, Mayland etc.
and second batch of 25,000 will be Chelmsford, Braintree, Brentwood etc.

Going back to your original point, Local paper has been good for me I've advertised for about 4 weeks and picked up a dozen jobs, the ads will be more than paid for after the first clean.
also the van brings in enquiries most weeks.
and something else that has worked- laminate a few flyers and get them put up in corner shops, the chippie and that sort of thing ;)

What company are you using to distribute the leaflets ? I've been quoted £44 per 1000(minimum quantity of 10,000) by this lot www.dbslimited.co.uk

they look ok, they sent me a power point presentation attachment via e-mail, but as I know nothing about how these companys operate I'm easily impresed  ???

Letterbox, they charge £30 per 1,000 plus V.A.T.
But I'm also using royal mail at a reduced rate of £27 per 1,000

going back to response rate of leaflets, i find 1%-2%.

best results have always been when i have leaflted myself.

I understand MB why you are doing it this way and am sure you will do well, good luck!

Reading a post from Ian lancaster, he leaflet drops himself and follows up knocking a couple of days later, leaflets have wfp explanation already on. (can get 10% this way)

I have used distributation companies and the real downfall is they put leaflets through houses i wouldn't look twice at, and i ended up running round like a blu ar5e fly; pricing.

MB will you have list of streets leafleted as you could knock saying did you get my recent flyer, and if potential custy is intrested you can price there and then, could help speed up and buid a more compact round.

I must admit i am a cowardy custard when it comes to door knocking but i have often thought if i did move out a bit to get bigger(cheaper property) i woul take above approach.

Good luck ;)
