Snails
« on: September 15, 2009, 06:13:01 pm »
Did a house yesterday then back for the insides today. Looking at the glass (usual crap results from crappy water fed pole crap system) I noticed marks on the outside that looked just like someone had run a drill up the glass - turned out to be snail trails that either didn't come off yesterday or happened last night. They look dreadfull if you miss them.  :-[

how can you not miss them when cleaning it?

they stand out a mile as the water flows over them.

On snail trails just go over the trail in the direction it travels ie just follow it with the brush you`ll find that a couple of passes and it`ll be gone or you could use hot water and stop moaning lol. ;D ;D

I had a massive one the other day, on a second floor window, why do they climb that high to go on a window. Surely they are lured to the garden plants, not the spiders.

This always confuses me?  ???

They could also be caterpillar marks as these appear at this time of year.

I think I know what you mean, did they look like spirals & only go virtical? if so they are not snail trails & I agree, they are really hard to get off. They won't come off with normal scrubbing. They're hard to get off trad too.

Its not the snails that bother me its the spiders and their eggs in the corners of the frame and now my van has turned into a spider nursery cause they catch a lift off my pole.

Thats it! figure of eight marks running vertical almost like a kid had scribbled a figure of eight over and over again.
