Stain removal?
« on: July 23, 2009, 08:20:47 pm »
Need somrthing to get stains off upvc. I've tried a Doktor power look alike - didn't touch it. Tried upvc cleaner cream - same again, abrasive sponges no good. The only stuff so far that shifts the blood stains and plant stains is nail varnish remover which can't be good for plastic  ???

Just I had a custy wanting to know what to use to get rid of mould stains in the corners of her conservatory insides.

Bleach. you need to KILL the spores to stop the mould from re growing, only bleach will do that.

Funnily enough a customer recommended it to me last year for fly poo. It is fantastic stuff and worked when all else i tried failed.
It's the only job i come across it where i couldn't get off using normal methods.

I've just tried a blob of cillit bang stain remover for toilets etc.
Seems to have a high bleech content but removed the one stain on my own sill. Not sure if it's suitable for custies property. I need to find a guinea pig.

I apply it to a cloth and wipe rather than put on directly.

I think any flavour will do. I use the purple bottle. Think it is the bathroom one. I stick with this one now because it has the limescale remover which i can also use for limescale on windows. (Although i have only used once on glass)
