Spray Guns - Probably a silly question
« on: July 06, 2009, 04:19:53 pm »
Got 2 of these spray guns (see pic below) which I haven't used yet, but when connected to sprayer they continuosly spray, as opposed to spraying when you pull the trigger.
Thought someone might know why?

Thanks
Paul

I have 2 stainless steel guns like that, when you pull the trigger they pull back on a plunger which allows the solution to spray out. If I over tighten the jet cup ( the nut on the front that holds the T jet)  it pushes on the plunger and continuously sprays, these might be the same.

Some of these have a ball bearing which is held against the inlet with a spring. If the spring is broken or lost its tension then the flow is continuous.  Undo the nut where the quick connect joins and the spring and ball bearing will fall out.
