There is a hand car wash site opened up recently on the main road where I live & it's always really busy. I paid £9 for a wash/dry/inside car vacum & inside windows on a picasso. They're open 7 days a week and its especially busy when its sunny!

yeah there are two within 5 miles of me, an arc car wash, and a couple of valeters, i would be doing only mobile valets, not roadside jobs, thats what i used to do, but then that was before all these forecourt places opened, has this affected anyones business?

There are plenty of valeters. We supply quite a few and they are resonably busy but not flat out.

hi mate , yep plenty of business out there these cheap hand car washes do not affect us , the people that use these places are the sort of people that would never get their car professionally valeted anyway, they are in competition mainly with themselves and supermarket automated jobbies.
if anything i think it can sometimes help our cause as they do such a bad job !

Hi Russell, yes the work is out there (at least it is in st ives cornwall) I do at least a couple of cars a week as a sideline of an existing cleaning business + I am contracted 2 days a week to a garage which includes garage and customers cars.   There are three types af car washes,   there are supermarket / car washes   dont worry about these as already said  these people are never going to be your customers, cowboys /. cheap operators  doing a cheap job, again these customers are not yours, if the cowboys / cheap operators are stoll around in a years time let them be the busy fools, then there is the profesional valeter who does a quality job, these valeters does the bmw's mercedes ect, This  is your section, when money allows invest in a complete mobile kit, but also if possable have a base, I find a free collect and delivery service is always a winner.    You have to think of any future oppertunities and milk them for what you can get.  IE go to a motor show and put a business card on drivers wiper blade in view of driver, ok so it may not get you any calls that day but if it gets you just 1 valet aa few weeks later its been worth it. just something to think about but to answer your question

IF YOU OFFER A GOOD SERVICE AT A FAIR PRICE YOU WILL ALWAYS BE BUSY.

Yes I do think the work is out there but as a side line because if one side goes quiet the other side can pay your bills.

GO FOR IT   DO YOUR  BEST    AND GOOD LUCK
