anyone know much about them, i know diddly squat, but thinking of getting one to run, vac/rx/airmover, not all at the same time. what sort of price we looking at to run these type of equipment.
just had a call from the pub i'm doing tuesday, the electric will be off, told them i could still do it but then remembered they need it dry by 11 o'clock.
i'd search google but not sure what i'm looking for power wise?
any help would be appreciated.

Probably a fair bit of power (Watts or Kilowatts) is needed.  Whilst I can't give specific advice 'cos it depends on how you consume it, you must look at the total power requirements of your equipment (230 Volts x Amps).  Look at specifications for gennies very carefully, they could be continuous or peak rated (go for continuous).

I had to run my machine on a 4.5 kva one on a job last year,had it cranked right up and it still struggled,had to turn the heater off.Have quite a bit of experience with gennies,used to use 3 to run our outdoor party soundsystem ,the bigger ones are the size of those air compressor things roadworkers use

Why would the carpets not be dry for 11 am ?  I've been cleaning hotels / pubs for twenty years and never had a problem with wet or damp carpets / seats.

If in doubt use dry foam on seating !

Regarding my previous post - if the wattage is not too high then many petrol generators are relatively cheap, perhaps well less than £100.  In fact a few hundred Watts of genny power may be on offer in some supermarkets or DIY centres.  But above this its gets steeper, so please do my 230 x Amps calculation, then look around.

Joe was telling me there was one on sale at macro i think a few weeks ago 5.4k and that had two plugs as i was also thinking of adding one for the jobs that dont have electric

The good thing if you do get one you will be not using any clients electric.

not sure what wattage they all are but i will only be running one at a time, i'm guessing the RX-20 will need the most power, but all i can find is its .5hp, the sebo bs36 is about 1400 watts at a guess and ive no idea about the duo, but the main one is the truxox room dryer, should say on it but its in  the back of the van so will look tomoz.
if i was running 1 at a time, what sort of output or HP or K's should i be looking at?

750 Watt (about 3.25 Amps on UK mains) is fairly close to 1 horse power I seem to recall from my old college days as a Spark (electrician), therefore 1400 W (6 Amp) is around 2 h.p.  If only one appliance is running at a time I expect a cheap genny (up to 750 W) will be OK, but you could provide up to 1.5 kW (1500 W) with another device.  Please accept however that without the ratings I can't say any more.

yeah thought about that col but its only a £150 job so i'm going to reschedule it for a week on tuesday.
but i'm still gonna look into getting a genny, might come in handy.
