past 2 weeks been getting pains in  my chest so last night 7 pm i went to A&E to ge tit checked out.

fisrt of all they asked what as up and i told them pains in my chest and also dull achy pain in my back and slight loss of breath.

next thing rigged upto ECG, blood pressure and blood samples.

all went ok with ECG N blood pressure and sounding me out etc.

anyways some of the blood s come back and ok so waiting on final one only to be told erm might be a problem as it's showing signs of possible clotting or i've had a clot or something.

kept in overnight  as i had to get scan in morning

through night back on ecg and blood pressure and mor ebloods etc etc

morning comes injection into stomach to htin the blood warforin or something before heading for CT scan.

at this point getting slightly worried as CT scan not normal me thinks. Few hours pass and docs come back with results all clear 

reckon i have had some kind of clotting possibly but all clear now and not too worry and ches tpain looking likely to be muscular.

the thought flying through ma head all night and next morning awaiting CT scan and results were not the best i can tell ye

It's frightening isn't it?

Don't hesitate to go straight back at the first symptom - clots are dangerous.

How old are you and how active?

i'm 34 and only active through WC but me thinks possibly might star tsome training.

I had a brain haemorrage at 28 (yea yea I know, it explains EVERYTHING  ) they operated without anasthetic, drilled through my skull and drained the clot off. I still have a depression in my skull where the op occured, about the width of a finger.

THAT was frightening.

My Dad died of a brain haemorrage at 34.

Last week I also had an ECG, all clear, but I had chest pains too, probably muscular, I reckon the pole is to blame, right in the centre of my chest, particularly when pushed on.

Glad your feeling better and it wasnt anything too sinister.

I had a small hole in my heart from birth,WRW syndrome or something, never even knew I had it a few sportsmen have died from it (football players etc)

Anyway, woke up 1 morning and pulse suddenly 200 plus!!!

A&E panic panic. Long story short, Afew years ago it would mean open heart surgery,zip in the chest, bolt through the neck and all that.

They did a 45 min op under local anestec' and I could actually watch em working on my ticker on the screen above the op table.

All clear now so no probs, I just wanted to say though, when you think about it you start to look at life after a scare totaly differently.

Just thought I would give you a lttle bit of support mate.

By the way, want to sell ya round!!!??

my wife was  admitted with chest pains last year had ecg etc ....anyhow after several tests  and trips to the doctors it turns out she has gaul stones which need to be removed.....but the symtoms were severe chest pains that hurt when pushed on

Chest pains can be caused from back problems, I had a problem once and went to see my daughter [physio], the problem was with a disc between the shoulder blades.
Your ribs are attached to your spine and sternum, if somethings not right with spine, it can cause pain in the chest. When this happens the problem area on the back is sore to touch.

I have had a DVT too. Heparin injections in the stomach for a week, and Warfarin tabs for 6 months.
You have to keep going back to the doctor to have your I.N.R checked, this makes sure your dose of Warfarin is right.
