My missus uses a karcher cv30 at work, she says its brillant, better than our Dyson at home. (think she after new hoover).
I see someone said the CW50 was good. any one know the diffence between the two, or which is the best

My workhorse vac is a Karcher CW50. I have no idea what if anything the 50 or the CW represent with regard to model. There is nothing specification wise that the model no. could link to. But what I do know is that I swear by it, never given me a day’s trouble.

Logic dictates that the two Karcher machines mentioned here should follow the standard industry format. That means that the CW 30 has a 30cm wide vac head. And the CW 50 has 50cm.  Although I must say that 50cm is wider than the average wide track vacs which are more typically about 46/47cm.

You would think that Ken wouldn't you, however Karcher seem to have adopted another code. The sweep width of the CW50 is 335mm and the over all width is 370mm

I wouldnt buy a Karcher for two reasons

1- its yellow
2- customers can buy all things Karcher at B&Q and may percieve your machine to be of nothing special.

Now its probably every bit as good as a Sebo or similar machine but the amount of customers who comment on my Sebo as being something they have never seen before...........

Good point, I can't say I have seen many karcher in houses, only businesses. But I am thinking of getting rid of the dyson and changing.
As mention too often on here, 'so many people have dyson now, you are no longer using anything different'. We have to agree and hence I would like to change hoover. It will be the sebo or karcher, I hope.

I agree with Mark insofar as the yellow colour is a bit off-putting. However the determining factor for me is it’s performance, like I said in my previous post, it does exactly what I require from a vac as well as having a reasonable price tag.

Just had a butchers at the Sebo Dart on their web page. It clearly walks all over my Karcher power wise. I assume from your positive comments it holds it’s own in terms of reliability and build quality, but what does it retail at?

Its a great machine with fantastic design features, these make the sebo very user friendly, the reliability and quality of engineering go hand in hand with the Sebo badge.
The best prices in the UK as far as I'm aware are found with Solutions, the wide track machine, one of which I recieved today costs only 230 + vat, the smaller vacuum a little less at 210 + vat.

I'm sure any of the guys from the forum who have played with a dart will agree how good they are.

I must admit the Sebo is impressive looking. I’m starting a new cleaning contract at the end of this month I might take the opportunity to retire my Karcher into there and give one a whirl!!

Got my Dart 2 yesterday also.  I agree, it's brill.  Ordered at 16:00 hrs on Monday, received at 15.30 on Tuesday, all the way from Cornwall.  Thanks Nick 

Only one measly bag in the box though!!     A bit tight Sebo!!

Only thing I didnt like about the dart is that its too much hassle to do the edges.  With the sebo bs36 etc it has a lance which simple lifts off and on.

Good machine though.
