I was working on Buxton road Thorncliffe only Saturday Morning, some customers really like a good and proper Truckmounted clean not an electric vax machine ;D

Was tempted by the new ninja with steam but............................................................
What's the point of a warranty if you have to either:
drive all the way to Kent from just outside leeds i.e. a 5 or 6 hour journey plus diesel for a repair under warranty
or
courier it down for £105 plus the downtime.

I got talking to a C/C who has been established since the early 80's..... I told him  I was looking at upgrading to the triple vac machine and he told me he has a mate who "Had" one and it was nothing but trouble :o

Then he said that adding a second motor doesn't mean you get double the lift, hence adding a third won't mean you get three times the lift ???

Can anyone shed any light on this ???

Parallel vs Series configuration Colin, didn't you listen at school? :D

In series, as you add vac motors the lift will increase but airflow stays the same.

In parallel, the airflow will increase but lift stays the same.

All airflow with no lift is useless.  All lift with no airflow is useless.  Lots of both is nice :)

According to that link then in series is better than in parallel.

You're probably right Clinton, he's probably never touched one.... I will "Test Drive" a Triple Vac rather than go by hearsay in any case! I just passed on this guys thoughts to see what you all thought :)

I've just come back from Cumbria and I'm planning on visitting "Whinlatter" every couple of months for some serious mountain biking :o So I could really pop in for a test drive of the new triple vac en route in June...

Come to think of it, we're off to a wedding do in Warrington in May :)
