Spotter, Rest Homes & Urine
« on: April 04, 2009, 09:03:44 am »
Did a job in a rest home last week - all my kit smelt of urine afterwards, had to give it all a good clean !!
Anyway, they asked my advice - they want to purchase a small spotting machine for immediate use themselves when 'accidents' occur.  It must be easy to use, not too heavy and in a budget of £500. My immediate thoughts were to recommend my CFR spotter, but do you guys have any other suggestions?

Also, which urine contamination treatment do you find most effective - Prochem or Chemspec or ???

Thanks, Pete

I bought a CFR Spotter a couple of years ago  :-\

For £500 I wished instantly that I had bought a small HWE Machine instead.

CFR Spotter has very poor psi, also once switched on the hose length becomes very restricted indeed.

I think for the purpose of cleaning in the industry you mention then a cfr would be pretty useless.....there also a pig to rinse out and clean......
.......Apart from that I like it ;D ;D

I agree with clinton, numatic would be a good choice, CTD 570, about £400 ish. I would advise Prochem Urine neutrelizer as a first aid product on fresh urine contamination. If cleaning as well then Clensan or Odour neutrelizer.
