Strange.

Are you sure that you are not testing the waste outlet instead of the product one?

There will be 2 pipes coming from the RO.  One is waste and the other is product.

Test both to check.

sounds like the membrane isnt seated right

thus the water is just rushing past the membrane and its the same TDS

ok, thanks for the replys, i'll try and get a pic on tomoz. on top of the membranes it says, pressure must be 55-85psi, it has twin pumps feeding 2 membranes with a working flow/pressure of 100psi.  ???

2 200gpd membranes with a pump each, looks like the waste and the pure are both T'd off into 1 outlet each. could be piped up to run in series 1pump feeding 2 membranes, apparently this would lower the waste ratio, well it would if it worked  :'(

That hose in your hand  - is that all pipe from the feed? Do you have a hand held meter to check the product water? I'm wondering if the meter is working because i would have thought that even the pre-filters would drop the tds partially even if you had no membranes at all.

it is all cold inlet feed bud. tds works fine, i'm still running di only and it works fine on tap tds and pure readings.

Take the mebranes out and reseat them in the housings.

You havent got them in the wrong way round have you?  There should be a rubbery flange around the end part of each membrane.
It is the other end that goes into the housing first.

I had the same problem, the membranes have to be pushed into the rubber seals properly otherwise the water bypasses them. You push them in until there is some resistance, then push a bit harder and you will feel them go into the seal. And make sure they are the right way round!
