Surely if a clean removes the 'dirt' its dirty and needed cleaning, not the manufacturers problem. If it is dye transfer its not likely to be removed with cleaning so its the jeans thats the problem not the manufacturer.
However if its the fabric that has excessively worn altering the appearance  over a short time then perhaps its the manufacturers problem.

I was called to regular custy of mine. She has a Multiyork suite with loose covers.

Went to have a look and it was ruined with denim rub off, tried it with various removal chems just to see what would happen, nothing.

I said it was probably cheap jeans ie; Tesco, George £8 specialls. 'I'll have you know these jeans cost me 56 pounds' she said, so it not just the cheap jeans doing it. I saw denim rub off on brand new Discovery seat, Next had to replace the seat.

In actual fact a lot of scatter cushions come with a note on the cleaning tag, not to put them on suits as the dye might rub off.

Wish we could find a way of getting the stuff off.
