Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you wont get rid of the smell.
Had one of these to deal with a few years back when a lady got in touch when she cleaned her carpets herself, then put one of these rugs ontop of it before it was dry.We tried everything but it didnt work.

Only way would to use a ozone generator, in a sealed room.
