How busy are you guys?Last week was crazy and this week looking grim, not a call yet.Looks like im gonna take £85.00 this week.Good job i put away last year.
Getting 1000 post cards out a day tho, a bit brain numbing but it has to be done. :'(

Enquiries are coming in at about 5 a day via phone or e-mail which is the best so far this year, but it is clear that although this is good the vast majority are still going for the cheapest quote...and rules me out then.
I even went to one property yesterday to quote as arranged because I wanted to see the cat sick and other mess on the stairs/landing...no one in >:(
I'm fortunate that I have other parts of the business besides carpet cleaning, because I couldn't live on carpet cleaning alone.

Worst Feb ever. The recent snow stopped the phone ringing for a while. Delivered 670 leaflets today and my feet and legs were killing me by the time i finished. How do you guys manage 1,000 a day.

Steven.

Had the best January ever, the weather screwed this month a bit but still on course for my best Feb ever.  Fully booked last week, this week and the majority of next week spoken for already.  I did 10 quotes last week and secured 8 of them with one still pending.

Been shopping for vans to put a truckmount in tonight :D

On the flip side, I had a bit of quiet patch through Sept-Nov when I know some of you other guys were doing a lot.

I'd advise everyone to spend as much as you possibly can on useful marketing ;)

Wasn't that long ago that you were lucky to get a job in January and February, things used to start picking up in March. Now January seems to be very busy. Febs still quiet, people are skint, weathers crap and they are holding on for the nicer spring weather. And with the nights getting lighter they start to notice how dirty things look, Will soon pick up.

I think we will benefit in these tight times. 2 years ago a new carpet or suite could be put on credit and not a thought given and whilst it can still be done, folk are hesitating. Two jobs done this week were cleaning when the customer was considering replacement. Re-assure your customer you can do a good job (as long as you can) and save them some money ;D
