You can do it, but you will need full PPE.

Basically you cut the carpet up into squares and put them into yellow bio-hazard bin bags and call a company in to pick up and incinerate them, I can give you the company who can give you the bags and pick up/incinerate when you are ready.

Blood spatters all over the carpet, guy just wanted me to say they wouldn't come out for insurance.
Didn't think for long, it would have taken ages to do them individually.
Had a quick go with Stain Pro but it didn't change much although my heart wasn't in it when I knew he just wanted new.
He got a note for insurance and I got paid.
Handsome.

Thanks for all your advice especially the specialist advice from Martin, will keep you in mind for future reference.
