     Len,

Its good to meet you!!   I presently have a Bane Clene System. When I was doing alot of commercial, years ago I had a Fire Breather of a machine made by Prochem....but all I do now is high end residential (or as you call it..domestic) so I wanted an easy to work on, reliable machine. I love my Bane system, I met a man from the UK at a Bane School. He told me he had a very large operation over there. I also have an orbital towel (pad) system called the CCS Machine , it uses a very low amount of water and chems so the carpet drys real fast.....sometimes I combine them both.
I bet the mall you were at was the the Cool Springs Galarea, its about 9 miles from my home or maybe Opry Mills Mall. I have a good friend in Crossville who manages a very large group of carpet cleaners all over the U.S. They do "Time-Share" properties and many in the Crossville area. Yes, I would have been up there in a flash, If we had known each other at that point. I love talking carpet cleaning......way to much.    Nice to meet you!!  Jon

Great to hear from someone from Nashville, the home of country music, my favourite by far. Interesting too about the Bane Clene as a lot of Americans cleaners do not rate them very highly. I use a Cross- American myself, a fantastic machine.
Many years ago I worked for a company called Unifi Inc, from North Carolina, the next State to yours, who had a manufacturing plant here in Ireland at the time, I used to have some great chats with the North Carolina guys who came over. I miss all that now.

Jon

Did try to link up with some one in Crossville, but to no avail, but did have a chat with a really nice CD person in Ashville NC bit surprised he had a TM while wife was seen a friend who now live there.

It must have been the one in Nashville, as I wanted to go to a dealer called Namco of Nashville who dealer for CFR as I wanted their upholstery tools, did not get there was out voted may be next time!

We have the op system over here but did not get on with it but a friend thinks its bee’s knees, I prefer the rotary type mainly Charlie (you wont have the pad over there) Texatherm very impressed with http://texatherm.co.uk/

Your friend won’t make much money out of my sister who lives there, as she has hard floors, but has a few rugs, as do all of her friends; I can see another business venture looming, working holidays got southern Spain every other year now Crossville TN and the customer pay for it!

   Fintan,

Nice to Meet you all!!!  I even get to clean some of the stars homes, have gotten back stage passes from their people that handle their day to day stuff. I have only met one star while cleaning in their home and that was Amy Grant...Vince Gill's wife.  They were very nice people.

About Bane Machines, I love mine. Your right they do get a bad rap on the boards.....but I think those guys are all defending their big expensive high power rigs....and I dont blame them. I have had a couple big high power rigs and paid the price for them too!!  Plus as the more complex, High Heat & High Vac Rigs get hours on them , some can cost you alot of money to keep them going. If you do alot of commercial, they are great.....but my focus is high end residential (Domestic) and most do not get really that bad requiring all that heat.

I too have owned a Recoil,  Ed Valentine at Cross American is a great guy and he make a super machine. I wish I still had that rig, but I sold it when I moved south to TN.  Jon

     Doug,

Hello, and thank you for the nice comments. If you had asked me 5 years ago, if I thought people would look for carpet cleaners on the net, my answer would have been, "a very small amount".   I'm finding it a great tool to promote my business, by handing them my card and saying "Here check out my website, I have some information on there that might help you someday" I also include it in all my print advertising, which allows me a smaller ad and let the website do the selling. I hope to have a small video clip of me talking about the business soon, just as you open the site.

I think more and more people are using the net, as a resouce of information. I think the yellow pages, will slowly loose there effect because of the the net.....plus there are so many companies producing phone books these days, what ever happened to the good old days when only the phone co. could produce one. This year alone in my area, I had 5 different phone directories dropped at my door step!! Makes it very confusing to the general public.   Jon

     Greetings Ed!!

Thank you for all the kind words.  I must tell everyone here on this forum about the high quality of Mr. Valentine's products. Years ago when I was looking to improve my cleaning results, I purchased a Cross American Recoil 2 and I really feel like it added to my success. I felt like the carpet was getting cleaner, and I was removing more water...better dry times, Etc.. Plus the best part, I knew Ed was just a phone call away.......and thats very important when your new in the industry.  All I can say is very high quality machines and the best customer service in the industry.   Jon

P.S. Ed, I hope to visit you soon, I will give you a heads up when its closer.

Jon;

Thank you for those comments.

Yes, please stop by our plant if at all possible, if you are in the area.

I also know of a terrific Irish Pub that serves Green Beer too. We'll give a special toast to Fintan and our very good Brit friends, including, John Bolton.

I will look forward to your call.
