Advertising on the side of the road
« on: January 28, 2009, 07:32:20 pm »

Hi folks,

Was thinking of leaving a trailer sitting in a car park space on a busy road with a bill board type advert on it, was wondering if any of you do this or no if its ok to do this without getting in #### for it basically!

I know it would get a lot of attention by drivers but will it also attract the attension of the law?

Cheers

clinton

I make a point of parking right outside supermarkets when the van is not been used for work.... As long as it's parked safely and legally, it shouldn't be a problem!

I've had no complaints...... yet!

Re Trailer whoowns Car Park.  If it isan active land owner you will have trouble eventually

Same with Road Side Adverts Most Councils now have Big tall Enforcement officers.

A trailer makes their job easy it can just be crushed

A trailer and van have been parked in a layby at Glasgow airport for about 8 weeks. Amazed it's been allowed especially with the bombing last year.

You can see an assortment of mini trailers,  to massive containers,  in fields around the country, obviously needs farmers cooperation.

Richard:

Why would u negotiate with ur dad? I'm a dad of 3 and would never think of charging my kids for using their initiative (sp).

I didn't quite understand the rest of your post (Sorry) but if ur going to spray paint ur companies name onto some holding then it would need to be helluva professional looking.

No disrespect to Rich or his Dad, but any farmer I've ever had the pleasure have always had the capability to peel an orange in their pocket with a boxing glove on... I was a member of a team cleaning up a farm in Cumbria that had Foot & Mouth in 2001. The farmer walked into our portacabin with a compensation cheque for over £500k and told us he was treating the whole family...... to a pizza! ;D ;D ;D
