Single flats with WFP
« on: January 25, 2009, 04:05:42 pm »
I often get asked to do individual 3rd or 4th floor flats and almost always so that I don't do single flats because of water dropping down, does anyone else have a different view? Do you do three windows on third floor just in case others jump on the bandwagon?

Usually these blocks of flats have a committee set up, or management company to look after their maintenance requirements. If you find out which resident takes responsibility for this you could give them a written quote to clean all the windows at this block, If all residents feel your price is value for money and their all in agreement then you could get the contract to clean all the windows.

If you've got 90% of a complex then the few who don't want it done will have to suffer for the majority. This is the situation we have with an OAP complex.

Now if you've only got 1 or 2 flats then either get the lower ones on or drop the idea. You might get away with it on 6 visits but on the 7th in the middle of summer then a lower flat has the windows open they generally don't become too chuffed about being told to close those windows so an upper level flat can have their windows cleaned.
