texatherm vs truckmount
« on: March 15, 2005, 11:07:57 pm »
hi all
just thought i would let you know that my texatherm system has out shone my tm system.

six months ago i cleaned a post office with heavy soiled commercial carpet tiles using hwe with my tm the results were very good and the customer was very happy and asked me to return in six months time.

returned today tiles looked very soiled after approx 30,000 visitors have trampled all over it, decided to tex it this time, results were fantastic and the customer said its better than last time which i have to agree with and to make it even better it was dry before i left. customer booked for six months time.

just goes to show each system has its place

dave
ps not saying tex is any better than df or charly pads but its very verygood

...because you got it to an acceptable  level with your first clean, ie you restored it and this time round was more routine.

Interesting to see the resoiling rate with both methods.

On carpet tiles texatherm is king.

Lee and Lee

The grit is vacuumed out beforehand with your vacuum cleaner or maybe you dont know what this is as you dont prevac before using your truckmounts?

The odours are neutrilised (sp) with whatevers in the cleaning solution.  If its urine or similar then yes its needs HWE these areas.

The 21% (from my NCCA manual) left in the carpet is general soiling which is absorbed into the pad or at least most of it is as no method will get it 100% clean.

And now we have a lovely clean carpet and dry in 30mins-2hours (never achieve 30mins all the time) and the customer is always happy.

The above is for carpet tiles.  I prefer HWE for residential.

Until you try you will not believe as I did.

i am not being funny but as you are a ncca trained tec, with years of experience,do you really belive that.
i don,t
odours neutrilised with whatever is in the cleaning solution????
i find odours are hard enough to remove when persprayed with a chosen product then flushed with a chosen product, never mind a light spray (30 mins dry time in mind)than padded over

i do a lot of padding so i am not knocking the system(i use it post cleaning after hwe)
i cannot understand where all the dirt, odours etc goes.

ps

i am very intersted in the new craftex thermodry system

Nobby from the forum uses it.Its cheaper than dry fusion I have had all the information sent to me it looks ok.But it is a relatively new system not a proven system like Dry Fusion or Texatherm.I reserve judgement.

yes your right if theres heavy odour then it needs an intensive odour treatment via HWE but this is usually only in a small specific area where a spotter may be suffice.  I wont use texatherm in a nursing home for example.

To be honest Ive no idea how the deodorizor in the solution works or if it even works due to the above but I know I get amazing cleaning results, quick drying, easier and quicker than HWE with a portable anyways.

IMO texatherm excells on carpet tiles everytime.  I dont use it on residential carpet due to the size, type of carpet and type of soiling.

Its another tool in your toolbox of systems.

HWE with padding afterwards will probably be cleaner but wont look any cleaner and will take way longer to clean and dry.  If the customer pays for this then fine but IMO texatherm is enough to get it clean.

Mark

PS. I didnt believe it until I seen it so get a demo and compare side by side.

Yes I compared HWE v Texatherm in a fitness club.  Carpet tiles.

If I was to choose now I would compare, very carefully Tex v Cpads or even an oscaliating pad machine or a cimex using an American product.  If I like Cpads on 31st I will buy them as their only £100 or so.

I think to justify any system you have to have the work for it.  If you want to clean a pub with a dry system IMO forget it.

Cant do Dry Fusion in Ireland due to supplier bias.

Mark

PS. are you looking to buy?

yes

i have booked in a demo for dryfusion,i will be testing this against cpads & truckmount

when i say (truckmount) this is only for test purpose only, the real test is between the 2 padding methods.
