Oh Great!
« on: January 15, 2009, 04:12:26 pm »
Had one of those cards through the door yesterday telling me i had a letter but the postage had to be paid. Great i thought, some moron has forgotten the stamp again.
Wife picks it up today and it's one of my sae with no stamp. Exept there is nothing in it, hasn't even been sealed (tape wasn't removed) and i haven't a clue who sent it.  >:(
Just hope it wasn't one of my bigger jobs.

i always put the first line of the customers address on the back of every envelope, eg:- 1 high st,
so easy to keep track that way and dont have to rely on the customer returning the payment slip

I've got a customer who insists on sending cash. When I originally priced the job it was £12. So a £10 note and 2 £ coins were sent. I've upped it to £15 just so the cash won't be so obvious...she can see my reasoning and has no problem with the increase ;D

Yes I do that because often the cheque arrives with a different name to the name I have on file.

i had an empty envelope delivered too , the cheque was sent back to the bank it came from by royal mail and they notified the customer so dont worry about it as the custie will be informed by the bank.

Ive pretty much done away with envelopes now but i use WCP and they all had a unique customer ID ie no1...no2

On the back of my envelopes i put "25"

Saves all confusion and is easy to track.
