25 degs max imo ok

Double glazed sealed units are the ones to watch out for and any old glass held tightly in with no room to expand. Had 3 units damaged. 2 shattered and one cracked. I use 60C btw

Blimey 25? thats just above room temperature - can't be far off swimming pool water - is it worth it?

I don't measure the temp. You want it on the very lowest setting you can get.


This is going to sound like i'm making it up, but you need a new technique. The flow will be much highter, you will use more water so you need to work faster. This is called advanced technique.

Put simply wash all windows like uptstairs windows. Use a longer lever on the pole and let it and the flow and the hot do the work. Rinse on.

Concentrate on what you are doing and you will fly and never have a complaint.

No not originally... I honestly wanted to know..

I read from NWH that about 40 degrees C is about the max head temp, he does.. (least i think it was NWH)

Im off down the gym, i got free membership, not used it yet.. get my bum into gear for the new year

All about being careful i suppose init.

Be nice on the caravan cleans i do sometimes, whack it up to full temp!!

I use it at 40 degrees and have had no problems just a couple of creakers but nothing to worry about,25 degrees is not hot water window cleaning you might aswell work with cold water.If your cracking windows with water at that temp i reckon your rubbing a hole in the glass or spending far to long on the glass.The glass will only creak-sound like it`s going to crack if it`s that really really thin glass the sort that you feel if you pushed to hard with the brush you`d smash it all other windows unless the temp is silly cold 40 is fine,i havn`t used cold since going hot.

has anybody tried circulating water from the tank thru the heater? Then taking another feed from the tank to the pump. If the tank is well insulated, there shouldn't be too much loss. You should get more control of temp on the glass. Thoughts?

Well kevin, my one pump is running the heater and the hosereel whilst also circulating back into tank which will in turn heat the tank which is feeding my other seperate hosereel and pump.
