nothing wrong with cold water, it's just an easier pleasanter job with hot.I don't think your idea would work, and if it did the benefits would be small compared to the extra bother.

You have to run it for a few minutes before it comes through hot, and if the holding tank is warmish rather than piping then it would be hard to feel any difference at the brush head even after ten minutes.Heaters are cheap, you can use them turned off, you can disconnect easily, and if it's for occassional use you can use a small gas bottle. Get your heater in the UK though if you get one.
