It still freezes but most of my stuff is surrounded by grass or is not walked on this time of year,i did a school last week and on the public path it froze and i had to stop go and see the caretaker and get some salt lol,it makes no difference when it comes to freezing after it leaves the window.

Single glazed glass is warmer than the ouside pane on double glazed units. More chance of glass cracking or shattering on double glazed units than single glazed in extreme cold temperatures with the exception of single glazed glass panes held in with putty and metal pins.
