Frozen R O

just went to turn on my R O unit in the shed both the R O unit and D I unit are frozen has anyone else had this problem, and will be ok when it has defrosted.

please help  :-[

There is a good chance that once frozen it will have cracked some of the housings/pipes.  The only way to check is to thaw it out and turn it on and see if it leaks.  You may well notice though that the membranes performance will have deteriorated as freezing can destroy the thin film membrane.

unplug all the pipes

and thaw SLOWLY

and just hope its ok, its all you can do

Just went to check mine all out and the membrane housing HAS cracked  :'( I just told the mrs i'm bringin it all in again and installing in the kitchen like it used to be before the rants kicked in. I knew this would happen  ::)
