Mike and Shaun,
Someone mention my name? I am nearer my 63rd than my62nd and I also have not got ideal pension provision so I am aiming to carry on at least until I am 70, health prevailing etc. I am not as fit as I usually am as I have been struggling with a bad groin strain since March and theres no sign of any improvement yet. Despite this I did manage to complete the Pennine Way in 9 days, as opposed to the usual 3 weeks, carrying a tent and all, in September, averaging 30 miles a day.
I remember when I was in my 30s thinking that I would not be able to carry on with carpet cleaning after the age of 45 and then after 50, then after 55. Now I dont think about it, I just keep going. Even after 70 if able I may still do some jobs, or work a couple of days a week, who knows?
Dave.
