II.1.5) Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Chelmer Housing
Partnership require cleaning and clearance services for void properties
and cleaning services only for their flat block communal areas and
sheltered schemes. They currently spend c. £ 370 000 per annum on cleaning
and clearance services. The scope of the contract will encompass aspects
of a fully managed Cleaning Service including; Sheltered Schemes: o
Communal areas; o External windows; o Communal entrances; o Communal bins.
Flat Blocks: o Communal areas; o External windows. Void Properties: o
Clean and clearance of property. Periodic deep cleanse to some sites as
and when requested.

II.2) QUANTITY OR SCOPE OF THE CONTRACT
II.2.1) Total quantity or scope: There is an annual expenditure in the
region of c. £ 370 000 per annum. The contract for the provision of
cleaning services to Chelmer Housing Partnership will be separated into
three lots; Lot 1 Sheltered Scheme Cleaning, Lot 2 Flat Block Communal
Areas Cleaning and Lot 3 Void Property Cleaning. The scope of the contract
will encompass aspects of a fully managed Cleaning Service including; —
Sheltered Schemes: Communal areas; External windows; Communal entrances;
Communal bins, — Flat Blocks: Communal areas; External windows, — Void
Properties: Clean and clearance of property, — Periodic deep cleanse to
some sites as and when requested. The cleaning service will ensure that; —
A clean environment is maintained in which staff and customers can work
and live, — A service is provided which does not interrupt the daily
working life of the site, — The site is cleaned to a standard specified by
CHP, — The service is based on a flexible approach that meets current and
future demands, — Regular self-monitoring takes place to maintain quality
standards, — Cover is provided for absent staff, — Sufficient quality
materials, chemicals and machinery are provided and maintained to carry
out the work, — Any emergency call-out services are responded to quickly
and positively 365 days a year, — Equipment is electrically tested to meet
legal requirements, — Training is provided as requested in matters related
to Health and Safety and other legal requirements.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 370 000 GBP.

organisation capable of providing a cleaning service to their sheltered
schemes. The appointed contractor will be expected to service the
following as a minimum requirement: Communal areas; External windows;
Communal entrances; Communal bins. Full specifications will be provided in
the ITT and supporting documents.

3) QUANTITY OR SCOPE: Estimated cost excluding VAT: 145 000 GBP.

LOT NO 2
TITLE: Flat Block Communal Areas Cleaning
1) SHORT DESCRIPTION: Chelmer Housing Partnership requires an
organisation capable of providing a cleaning service to their flat block
communal areas. The appointed contractor will be expected to service the
following as a minimum requirement: Communal areas; External windows; Full
specifications will be provided in the ITT and supporting documents.

organisation capable of providing a cleaning service to their void
properties. The appointed contractor will be expected to service the
following as a minimum requirement: Clean and clearance of property. Full
specifications will be provided in the ITT and supporting documents.
