also rember the containers are plastic and that oil is a lot cheaper at the moment, diesel is also cheaper so transport costs will have been reduced  :(

Naturally we will all be putting our prices down for the same reason....
once the price reductions have fed through. ;D

Mike,
Thats not the point "If its good i will pay the extra and use it" we are in a reccession and they are bumping the price up they might even do it again early next year. If they increase there price by 20% what extra do we pay after the distributor has put his cut on, also rember the containers are plastic and that oil is a lot cheaper at the moment, diesel is also cheaper so transport costs will have been reduced  :(

The point is then.... they aren't holding a gun to your head to buy Prochem. Everything finds it's own level. If cleaners feel they don't offer value then they will go elsewhere.

Where does this figure of 20% increase come from.
Have been paying £9.95 less usual 20% discount for most of this year. Prochem have now sent me new price list from Jan 2009 where it has increased to £10.50 less discount.

When trying to find the same amount of yearly profit from falling sales what would you do?

Increase the unit price to increase the unit profit you can probably afford to lose as much as 30% of your customers if the price is right, elctrical, water and gas suppliers have been doing this for years.
