my flojet pump 95 psi which is only 4 months old and only at the most and only been used for no more than 300 ltrs of water is working but theres no suction .
 the problem started yesterday ive fitted my spare pump to a trolley but theres no water coming out the motors spining but nothing else any ideas ?

Could be an airlock. Have you tried sucking water out of the outlet pipe?

yes tryed that alex no joy at all .

Have you checked that all the connections before the pump are airtight? Sometimes this can allow the pump to suck in air which prevents it from sucking in water.

Tip:

Fit a non return valve on the entrance of the inlet pipe to the inlet side of pump to overcome waiting for trapped airlock to flush through pump before obtaining water on the outlet side of pump if using containers that are swapped over (i.e. pure freedom style).

they are all air tight , i use the pump in the same way you do using the pressure switch for cut out my van mount is done in the exact same way and never had a problem , its just spinning but no water coming through .

Sounds like an internal pump problem.  Perhaps the diaphragm has been punctured.

Try pouring water into a short inlet hose with the pump lying on its side, it should spurt out of the outlet easily, then try re connecting. Otherwise return it to www.dualpumps.co.uk  under guarantee if you dont have a spare ,order one tomorrow for next day delivery and you should get it Friday try and get the new internal bypass one They will fix the pump under the guarantee if its duff b ut its going to mean doing without till its fixed.

Would this non return valve be suitable to be placed just before the pump.

I too am having occasional air locks in my pump , partly due to me mounting my pump above my tank.
