Normally I would just make a few phone calls or even do a search on here.

But a few have expressed the need for me to make a particular post about window cleaning and posts that are clearly understood.



Need a 4”x40” membrane, looking on Gaps Water at there window cleaning RO kits.

Like to hear which kit do you recommend?

I think you should give your brain a rest from window cleaning for a while. Go and climb a mountain, or something, and clear your head – and give us mere mortals a chance to clear ours.

Do you need just the membrane or housing aswell,do you have a water softener if not you will need one of these aswell,also 10" or 20" carbon and sediment filters and a holding tank,transfer pump transfer hose.
If the holding tank is outside would be best to buy a black one not a clear one.
If you have very low water pressure you might need a pump aswell.
Ps dont buy from ionic's they are a rip off.
I would get quotes from lot's of suppliers then you could put  a post on the forum with the prices and see if any of the other members have used these suppliers and get some feedback from them.

i woud say that ak is the one that it used most, But i could be wrong.

There is high pressure and low pressure, If your pressure at home is good go for the low pressure one then you will not need a pump.

I have a twin AK4040 pumped system but from what I hear the new HF5 is the business, no need for a booster pump, very good quality water and very high production rates.

The AK is a very good membrane but really needs a booster pump to get the most from it (i run it between 80 and 100psi), if I had to choose again I would go for the HF5, apart from being cheaper than an AK + booster pump there is a lot less to go wrong.
