What would you Quote

Just priced up an house in posh area of birmingham.

4 bed detached with ajoining garage & opposite side is a large room but similar to a large garage, done as den or whatever extra living room.

1: Walls are green with moss & algae. Vines have been removed so all the remnant need removing. approx 100sqm requires cleaning.

2: Block paving to front only size of wide path & step. approx 40 sqm

3: Slabs up side of property approx 20 sqm

4: Paved rear area of 40 sqm

5: Roof of porch needs cleaning off as thick with moss approx 36sqm

6: All windows & fascia reuire UPVC clean then window clean.

Problem is water so done test & not to bad , but forsee drainage problems

I worked on allowing 1 1/2 days for block & 2days for walls & windows etc. With 1/2 day for drainage problems or finicky can you just do that again etc.

Would anybody give me an idea of what they would charge. Minimum of 3 days.

Gary,
For all paving, walls and porch this could be done in a day without seeing the areas for myself.

Can't answer the windows bit as we don't do window cleaning.

I would say Billyc answer is a good parkpark figure without seeing the job.

Good luck

If you allowing 3 to 4 days,

then charge what you would like to earn in 4 days plus your materials and any other expenses .

Is this not the simplest way ?

Billy & Roger bang on £800 but, told to expensive, i was going to give them extra time due to drainage, plant pots etc.

I think i man could do it in 3 days easy, but allowed extra just in case. Things are quite, got no work next week due i reduce to get it, but, to what.

Workout costs - fuel - sand etc.

Work out hourly rate for yourself and if your happy with it, then submit.

You will find some custys always chip away- dont forget insurance costs etc.

Make sure custy knows you have full insurance cover etc, hence ur costs.

Don't reduce the price, either they want it done or not, price shoppers are a plague. Stand your ground if you think your doing it for a fair price.

without seeing job i can only get a rough idea but i think there would only be between 1 and 2 days work their so would probably say between £400 or £500 at tops.
better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove any doubt
