Does any one have any further thoughts to as this is possible on a daily basis at this time of year?

Rather than say 5 new customers per day, say £40 per day in new business?

Peter.

£40 in new business is perfectly achievable. Some days you may not get that and others you could treble it or more. I speak from experience.

As long as you put one foot in front of the other and knock enough doors you will do it.

hello,

I have posted a few posts on here now about starting up in the w/c business,

I have had some nice feedback from you guys.

In your experiance is it possibly for me to go out 6 days a week whilst starting up and pickup 5 new customers a day by doorknocking?

I would need to cover £800 per month to start with and be earnoing £1200+ within 3 months, do you think that is possible in the current climate?

Is anyone loosing customers due to the Credit Crunch?

Peter

It's perfectly possible to get five a day.  I suggest that you make it clear that you are open to accepting referrals.  Maybe provide a time limited incentive just until you build it up a bit?

When i first started ( many moons ago ) I offered all my new customers a free clean with every

recomendation they gave, as long as i picked up the job. I think if you try hard enough and you really

want to work then you will get all the customers you need

My situation is,

I had an hernia operation 6 weeks ago tomorrow, I had been working for a plant hire company delivering plant and skips for the last 2 years up til the 1st of august, the plant work dried up and i done some agency hgv work until my operation on the 1st october, now im ready for work again.

There is no work in the plant or skip industry at the minute, infact the company i used to work for are now making redundancies.

I have a little bit in the bank, after buying all my equipment and getting a uniform i would only need to earn £400 between now and the end of the year to ensure my bills are paid.

That would leave me in the position come january of needing to earn £750 per month minimum to pay the bills, and grow my business, possible?

Im prepared to work 10-12 hours per day, 6 days a week to get my income.

Peter.

Sorry but you are coming across as very indecisive. You seem to want reassurance and almost a cast iron gurantee that you will get what you need.

This no-one can give you. If you really want to go for it then you are best getting out there and doing it.

Here's how to earn what you need between now and Xmas. Canvass from 5.30 till 7.30 every evening then next day clean the customers you get. January is very good for getting new customers by canvassing so just keep going doing the canvassing every evening. If you want or more importantly need the business you will go to any lengths to get it.

I hope you have bought a basic set of tools and have been doing a bit of practice. Time spent getting it right is always well spent.

I don't mean to seem aggressive. I just know that with determination the figures you are quoting can be achieved.

Wish all I needed between now and Xmas was 400 quid  :(

Thanks for all your replys, Andrew i need more than £400 quid between now and xmas, thants just the bear minimum, i know that no one can give a guarantee that i will earn anything, its better to hear it from more than 2 or 3 people before commiting as you can understand.

Thanks for all your encouragement,

Peter

I understand Peter.

Sorry if I came across wrong. It's just that I absolutely know for sure that even in this economic climate an obviously intelligent person like you can make a real go of window cleaning as a business.

I look forward to this time next year when you are telling us all about it  :)

Just go get em mate.

Andrew
