daisy chaining reels
« on: October 30, 2008, 06:23:18 pm »
hi
at the moment i use a van mounted 100mtr microbore hose reel ,

i am thinking of getting a second reel of say 60 mtrs , for getting to awkward jobs .

for instance , i sometimes run hose over busy main roads, but have to  wait until break in traffic before pulling hose quickly to rear of house, my plan is to pull hose over road then connect to second reel,

then i can pull of hose freely,i think linking 2 reels together would be very handy at times , for the reason mentioned and numerous others.

any body do this? and what length  hose reels do you use ?

I have one job where I connect 2 X 100m hoses with no problems or change in performance at all. I have a 100psi sureflow pump and a varistream  ;)

Not sure about microbore, but I've been told that you can join 4 or 5 reels of minibore with no trouble using a 100 psi pump,...
