Been asked to quote for a sofa clean and then to treat it with anti static?

I've heard of anti static but have never used it, I thought it was more for carpets.
Has anyone treated a suite with it before, Will it work on a suite ?
How does the stuff work, in case I get asked.
If I'm gonna need some, can anyone recommend a good product?
Any suggestions as to what might be causing her problem?
Many thanks
Paul

static is increased by a dry atmosphere and cleaning will help this static problem.
Prochem and craftex do good products, craftex is cheaper.
clean suite and apply static treatment.
She could open window and improve the Indoor air quality and this usually stops the static prob

Anti static de charges the positve and negative charges, the same stuff what they use for carpet and upholstery is the same stuff electricians use for strip lighting.
Enquiry about protector first or you could sell them both, price a % price b

At a guess, Nylon knickers and she is a fidget, but I would have thought that would feel nice

Why dont you suggest some sort of water feature , this will take the static away, these are often used in offices and buildings exactly for that reason.
I,m sure their is a product on the market for homes as Ive seen some in a custys house

Why does your customer want anti static on a suite? I've never come across this before.
As Shaun has stated, a protector will reduce any static by about 50% so if, for example, the suite is generating 6,000volts, it will come down to about 3000 volts. and so on. Obviously there's little amperage involved.
A cheaper option would be to have some plants in the room or maybe even just some small containers of water hanging from the radiators.
Safe and happy cleaning
