Hi guys , have just decided to branch out and do a bit of pressure washing on the rainy days that will soon be upon us , what i need to know is a formula for a price structure .
My machine uses no more than 500 L per hour , i will be using customers water , at a cost in my region of about £4.50 per cubic metre , so it will cost the customer £2.25 in water per hour of work .
Just as an example , today i did a job , 90 square metres in total , it cost me £5.00 in fuel , and took 4 hours , what should i have charged ?

I will let you know what i charged after a few replies, im not one of these money merchants , so please be honest !

That seems like very expensive water per cube.

One cubic litre of water - with no drainage costs etc should be about £1.20

I have seen people charging about 2.95 per sm, but Based on your info I might have asked for about £90 bearing in mind you are using there water.

Again not in that business so I am just brain storming there

I work on £1.50 per sq mtr over 50sq mtrs & £1.75 under 50sq mtrs using there water or mine.

i charge £2 per sq meter. you want to be earning good money for 4 hours graft, its messy and wet and not enjoyable..... and it dries up in winter ,so get the price up.

Cheers chaps , not a million miles away from what i charged him , he is a good custy , i do w/c on 3 take aways and 3 of his houses , im putting up his sons basket ball ring in the morning and then on to a pressure washing job for his mother later in the day so i tend to look after him a bit , plus im just about to order a chinese from him , free delivery and free pancake  role !
Life is good in the Panes AND frames household , i pay the bills , we are all happy  , i' ve lost 3 customers in 4 years , so i must be doing something right !

 Incedentely , i had him for £75 , £17.50 an hour after costs,  not going to be a millionaire , but im gonna enjoy the cinese in a minute 

 Cheers guys , looks like the £1.50 a square metre will do me fine !
