with respect its about investment in yourself. what you get back will benefit you every day you clean. plus when you go on a course you get the added benefit of networking with other carpet cleaners. I know that you get that here but its different face to face.
Lets face it the logo means nothing to your customers. but as a professional we all should keep our knowledge up to date. its like reading a book, when you read at times you miss parts because your are trying to do to thing at once, read and think. by rereading that book or sitting a course in this case you pick up on those things that you missed first time round.
if you are feeling its not worth the money. do what i do and that's take away three things that i can turn into a return on that investment. for example i did the NCCA spotting course and one of my three was pet stains. i went about marketing this area and got my money back. its the use of this knowledge that benefits us. it no good just keeping it in our heads.
another way i use this is with products. just look at any line and you will see products that you dont use on a day to day basis. lets take the pet urine example. alltec do the water claw. by using this in your marketing and explaining the benefit of not having to pull up the carpet etc, and that this saves money for your customers, gives you a new market.
