The section that's scraping along the ground and wall is the aluminium gooseneck which will stand up to years of abuse!  There's no way I'd scrape the carbon fibre on anything. The gooseneck in the video has been used like that for over a year as has the complete pole assembly.

1 thing i would love to see with this pole and i think it would be the iceing on the cake and that is a bag similar to the unger 1 to store the sections in,a square padded holdall that zips up and easily takes a 50ft pole with easy access to the sections.Mine is stored in the bag in comes in in the van and can be a bit of a pain with getting sections away sometimes quickly,i feel it would really improve the overall product.

nwh ,i use the blue plastic tubes that the poles come in .i fastened them together with strong tape and then when i need them i fasten them to a golf trolley. It is better to cut the tubes down though so that the poles stick out ,this makes it easier to get them out.I play golf but if you dont they are really cheap from argos.

Excellent video, It's a joy using the pole really, very glad I invested in it, ordered another section the other day to give me a 40ft one. Very happy.
