etiqutte ? (spelling)

Been out all day on the beer ;)
Got to a boozer when a women says " how much do you charge?"
I told her for what?
she says " three bed semi"
I told her "£9"
she says "Well if you can do it for £8 i'll have you as my window cleaner charges us  £9 "
i said, "Sorry my lady but i don't go round stealing other peoples buisness for the pulptry fee of -minus £1.

Just walked away but i've never felt so good in my life..morals am i right or wrong?
deep down i know i'm right  slag me off as much as you can but i know i'm right.............but morals don't pay the bills thats the trouble........and no i didn't take the job afterall ;)

Spot on mate,
1 - you hadn't seen the property
2 -  as you say £1 in the grand scales of things ain't gonna bust her bank account
3 - £9 poroperty isn't gonna change your life drastically either
4- never barter it does no-one any favours ;D

I have a basic distrust of customers who say "well my present window cleaner charges £x ........
Because you know they will do the same to you.

We call this "fishing" when a customer asks you for a quote even though they have a window cleaner.
