Providing the camera was small and had it's own power the advantage of this is you would be able to have it on the pole in front of your face and see what you were doing as you worked.

i think jeff said you can get a mini battery operated camera, just wondered if this would be ideal with it, this would be a lot better than using a laptop as some do

Without checking I am 99% sure I had both the camera and screen for xmas. Camera ok but screen a bit small although I think u can connect to a laptop and make a recording on dvd. Or instead possibly connect to a bigger screen, through the screen. It was about £143 from memory. I have used the camera and screen on gutters but often crap with the sun. Never tried but would be good with larger screen, either real time or by dvd, if possible.

Just to save me downloading it as my pc is on a go slow, you can view the camera on my pole by clicking on my website link and in the guttering section 3rd picture down you will see the camera, its operated by a 9v battery although the camera is 8v rated the 9v battery won't do it any harm.

Hi tradman
There are a few people supprised just how old pointers really are.

I use ecover Truck wash (available from Gardiners) I just spray it on but I then use the Lance  and pressure washer to get it off.

You can still use ecover in a bucket or on the end of a brush etc, the pictures on my web on the left (before & After) were done when I was still on ladders, I used ecover in a bucket and just by dipping my cloth into the ecover.

Link for ecover
