how often do you clean them
are these in and out
who pays you
are they good money or not
which do you prefer to clean nursing or care

Cut throat unless your lucky,i know someone that does about 20 a month. If you do about 4 of them for free it looks like your earning good money.

What i mean is the price that he has to do them for,to make it pay when quoting your almost making it look like there getting 4 done for free, therefore 4 of them homes only get a quick brush over once a month. This is the thing with this type of work,if you take your time you will lose money.

Residential care homes provide support to people who cannot be supported in their own homes, even with a comprehensive package of care. They provide trained care staff, and residents have access to visiting District Nurses.

Nursing homes have qualified nursing staff on duty 24 hours a day to support people's needs, where these are too complex to be met within residential homes

Taken out of my daughters works handbook as she works in a nursing home

We have some very poor responses on this thread.

'They smell so I turn the work down' and that there is an expectaton to charge them cheaply.

My experience over the last 8 years of cleaning nursing homes

Nursing home 1 = 40 mins work = £50.00 - 6 weekly
Nursing home 2 = 40 mins work = £40.00 - monthly
Nursing home 3 = 20 mins work = £30.00 - monthly
Nursing home 4 = 15 mins work = £20.00 - monthly

These nursing homes were sold with my residential work in March 08 and they were all long term cleans, I know the prices on them have been increased.

We know have 15 nursing homes on a 6 weekly cycle I would defy anyone to say they would not do the work on the above grounds. The price is not important - I put it in high and got the maintenance order emailed to me the next day.

Nursing homes can be very good earners - you need to know how to approach them and service them!!!
