You mean Tucker? I don't see how that could work, or what it would be good for tbh, I can just imagine it trapping dirt, scratching the window. With a brush the bristles are constantly flushed.

The sponge centre of the Tucker is meant to help cool the glass quicker on hot sides of buildings. Thats when we get some sun

Usually on double trim, the bristles are all the same material, but the middle ones are stiffer simply because they're shorter, so bend less and have more scrubbing power.

For a double trim to be effective it has to have loads and loads of bristles in the middle part of the brush,you can make a brush look like a double trim but without the bristles it won`t glide over the glass it will judder and you`ll have a job keeping the brush in position on the glass,a good double trim brush will push up and down in a straight line and not jump from side to side in a way looking like it`s got a mind of it`s own.
