Bendy Poles are ok with me.

Hi, i keep reading about rigid poles beibg the best, but i prefer a nice springy bend in mine for a nice flowing action... and if a window is directly above a con roof... a foot maybe...

i can then get it from the side, pole held above my head at a near right angle, and the bend takes my brush down to the window, and with a flicking motion i can clean the window no probs..

so i do like a nice flexy pole too,

what do you guys think?

I know what you mean - you can sometimes get the whip to work for you but most of the time it saps energy from the pole and your arms.

I used to use the original bendy pole for 8 years - Unger alu and understand the tricks you can do with it, but at over 30ft the weight when used with the pole above your head has to do your body DAMAGE long term.
Keep your grip below the waist, if needed use a lighter pole with an elbow.

If I haven't been to the gym for a few days then it's not a bad workout.

Otherwise, too much like hard work.

I used to think a whippy pole was a cool thing at short heights, like a 17ft xtel, brilliant for getting over con roofs etc.  However after having the slx which is about the same weight as the xtel, I find that I don't need as much for lunch and that I can work a lot longer without getting tired at all.  You don't realize how much energy you expend with a whippy pole.

Now all we need is for someone to design a pole that will turn whippy at the flick if a switch.

Simon.

I also have found the bend in a pole useful for windows like that.  The trouble was that I got through two pole just like that in the space of a year - though they were cheap.
